Tools Needed:
Phillips screwdriver (for some machines)
Allen Key (found in accessory bag with printer)
Flathead screwdriver (for terminal)
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Removing the Bottom Panel
Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet.
Turn the printer on its side or upside down for easier access.
Unscrew all screws securing the bottom panel.
Carefully remove the bottom panel to expose the mainboard.
2. Disconnecting and Removing the Mainboard
Identify all cables connected to the mainboard.
Gently remove all connectors, taking extra care with the printhead cable to avoid damage.
Unscrew the screws securing the mainboard to the frame.
Remove the old mainboard from the printer.
3. Installing the New Mainboard
Position the new mainboard in place.
Secure it with the screws.
Reconnect all cables to their appropriate ports, ensuring a firm connection (carefully use glue gun if available)
Check connections before proceeding
Note: The 24v power supply RED power cable goes to + and BLACK power cable to - symbols shown on the mainboard. Double check with the image below as incorrect wiring can damage or destroy the mainboard, power supply, and other connected components
4. Reassembling the Printer
Place the bottom panel back onto the printer.
Secure it with screws.
Plug in and power on the printer to test the new mainboard.
Note: The mainboard stores all data for V3 SE machines, meaning it will prompt the first time setup and require a z-offset and auto levelling calibration before being able to print. Other settings such as Wi-Fi will also need to be configured.
