Tools & Materials Needed:
- Replacement mainboard (ensure compatibility with your Creality Falcon model)
- Allen key / Hex screwdriver
- Small flat-head screwdriver (optional)
- Needle-nose pliers (optional)
- Camera or phone (for taking reference pictures)

- If connected to a PC or external devices, unplug all connections.
Step 2: Access the Mainboard
- Locate the control box or mainboard housing (at the front of the machine).
- Use an allen key/ hex screwdriver to remove the screws securing the cover.
- Take a picture of the wiring setup before unplugging anything. This will help when reconnecting cables.
Note: There is thermal pads holding the PCB to the enclosure, carefully remove the mainboard making sure the pad remains intact on the enclosure when the new mainboard is installed so it is sufficiently cooled.
Step 3: Remove the Old Mainboard
- Disconnect all cablescarefully:
- Stepper motor connectors (X, Y)
- Limit switch connectors

Step 6: Update Firmware (If Required)
- If your machine does not boot properly or behaves unexpectedly, you may need to update the firmware.
- Download the correct firmware for your Creality Falcon from Creality’s official website.
- Transfer the firmware file to an SD card or update via USB using Creality software.
Troubleshooting
- Machine doesn’t turn on: Double-check the power cables and connections.
- Motors not moving: Ensure the stepper motor cables are securely connected.
- Incorrect homing or limit switch errors: Verify the limit switch wiring.
- Firmware mismatch errors: Reinstall or update firmware.
Final Check
Run a small test engraving or movement command to ensure everything works as expected. If you notice any issues, recheck connections and firmware settings.
