Creality Hi X-Axis Limit Switch Replacement

- Step 1. Unscrew the 2 Screws holding the Front Tool Head Cover
- Step 2. Remove the Front Tool Head Cover
- Step 3. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the Extruder Motor Cover and remove the extruder motor cover
- Step 4. Unplugging the X-Axis Limit Switch Cable
- Step 5. Unscrew the X-Axis Limit Switch
- Step 6. Remove the X-Axis Limit Switch and replace it with a new one.
- Step 7. Install the Extruder Motor Cover
- Step 8. Install the Front Tool Head Cover and screw it in place
- Step 9. Turn on the machine and run Self Test / Calibration.

Introduction
This guide will walk you through the process of disassembling the print head and replacing the X-axis limit switch.
Important Notes
- Strong Yellow Glue: The connector on the X-axis limit switch is secured with a strong yellow glue. You may need to carefully cut or gently wiggle the connectors to release them. Avoid forcing the connector, as this could damage both the X-axis limit switch and the cable.
Tools needed
2mm Hex Driver or Hex Key
Precision Tweezers (for easier connector removal)

Step 1. Unscrew the 2 Screws holding the Front Tool Head Cover
Use your 2mm Hex driver to remove the screws securing the front cover.

Step 2. Remove the Front Tool Head Cover
Pull the tool head cover towards you to slide it off easily.

Step 3. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the Extruder Motor Cover and remove the extruder motor cover
Use your 2mm Hex driver to remove the screws securing the extruder motor cover.

Step 4. Unplugging the X-Axis Limit Switch Cable
The X-Axis Limit Switch can be located on the left side off the Toolhead.
Important:
The connector on the X-Axis Limit Switch is secured with strong yellow glue. Be sure to carefully cut or score through the glue before proceeding.
Use a flathead screwdriver to gently score or cut the glue. Once that’s done, you'll need to compress a latch to release the cable. I recommend using tweezers for better precision and ease. For reference, please see the photos below:

Step 5. Unscrew the X-Axis Limit Switch
Use your 2mm Hex driver to remove the screw securing the x-axis limit switch.

Step 6. Remove the X-Axis Limit Switch and replace it with a new one.
When installing the new board, you'll notice a notch that aligns with the hole on the X-Axis Limit Switch. This alignment is clearly marked in the photo below for your reference.
Once the switch is aligned, use your 2mm Hex driver to tighten the screw and securely fasten the X-Axis Limit Switch in place.

Step 7. Install the Extruder Motor Cover
Use your 2mm Hex driver to secure the screws holding the extruder motor cover.

Step 8. Install the Front Tool Head Cover and screw it in place
Position the front tool head cover back into place and secure it with the screws.

Step 9. Turn on the machine and run Self Test / Calibration.
Power on the machine and run the self-test / calibration procedure. If no errors appear, the replacement was successful!
