Creality Hi Hotend Fan Replacement

- Tools needed
- Step 1. Unscrew the 2 Screws holding the Front Tool Head Cover
- Step 2. Remove the Front Tool Head Cover
- Step 3. Unplug the Hotend Fan cable from the Extruder Board
- Step 4. Unscrew the 4 hotend fan screw securing it to the head sink.
- Step 5. Replace the Hotend Fan and Secure it to the Heat Sink.
- Step 6. Plug in the Hotend Fan cable to the Extruder Board
- Step 7. Install the Front Tool Head Cover and screw it in place
- Step 8. Turn on the machine and run Self Test / Calibration.

Introduction
This guide will walk you through the process of disassembling the print head and replacing the Hotend Fan / Heat Break Axial Fan
Important Notes
- Strong Yellow Glue: The connectors on the Extruder Board is secured with a strong yellow glue. You may need to carefully cut or gently wiggle the connectors to release them. Avoid forcing the connector, as this could damage both the Extruder Board and the cable.
Tools needed
2mm Hex Driver or Hex Key
1.5mm Hex Driver or Hex Key
Precision Tweezers (for easier connector removal)

Step 1. Unscrew the 2 Screws holding the Front Tool Head Cover
Use your 2mm Hex driver to remove the screws securing the front cover.

Step 2. Remove the Front Tool Head Cover
Pull the tool head cover towards you to slide it off easily.

Step 3. Unplug the Hotend Fan cable from the Extruder Board
Press down on the latch, then gently wiggle and pull the connector to disconnect it.
Note: If there’s excess adhesive on the connector, you may need to carefully cut or wiggle it to loosen the connection.

Step 4. Unscrew the 4 hotend fan screw securing it to the head sink.
Use your 1.5 mm Hex driver to remove the screws securing the hotend.

Step 5. Replace the Hotend Fan and Secure it to the Heat Sink.
Use your 1.5 mm Hex driver to secure the screws to the heat sink.

Step 6. Plug the Hotend Fan cable into the Extruder Board.
Ensure the connector is fully seated and that the latch is not compressed.

Step 7. Install the Front Tool Head Cover and screw it in place
Position the front tool head cover back into place and secure it with the screws.

Step 8. Turn on the machine and run Self Test / Calibration.
Power on the machine and run the self-test / calibration procedure. If no errors appear, the replacement was successful!
