Creality Hi X-Axis Adapter Board Replacement

- Step 1. Remove the X-Axis electronic compartment cover.
- Step 2. Disconnect the cables on the X-Axis Adapter Board.
- Step 3. Unscrew and replace the X-Axis Adapter Board
- Step 4. Reconnect the Cables on the X-Axis Adapter Board
- Step 5. Install the X-Axis electronic compartment cover.
- Step 6. Turn on the machine and run Self Test / Calibration.

Introduction
This guide will walk you through the process of replacing the X-Axis Adapter Board, which is located on the backside of the Gantry / X-Axis.
Important Notes
- Strong Yellow Glue: The connectors on the X-Axis Adapter Board is secured with a strong yellow glue. You may need to carefully cut or gently wiggle the connectors to release them. Avoid forcing the connector, as this could damage both the X-Axis Adapter Board and the cable.
Tools needed
2mm Hex Driver or Hex Key

Step 1. Remove the X-Axis electronic compartment cover.
There is a small indent in the bottom-right corner where you can insert a nail or small flat-head screwdriver to open the cover.

Step 2. Disconnect the cables on the X-Axis Adapter Board.
All connectors on the X-Axis Adapter Board have a latch-based locking system.
Creality applies glue to secure the latches during transport. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to carefully cut or remove some of the glue to free the latch.

Step 3. Unscrew and replace the X-Axis Adapter Board
Using a 2mm Hex Driver, remove the two screws securing the X-Axis Adapter Board. Once the screws are removed, take out the old board and carefully position the new X-Axis Adapter Board in its place. Ensure proper alignment before securing it with the same screws using your 2mm Hex Driver.

Step 4. Reconnect the Cables on the X-Axis Adapter Board
Once the board is installed, reconnect all cables, ensuring they are fully inserted and properly secured.
Step 5. Install the X-Axis electronic compartment cover.
Align the cover’s tabs with the corresponding slots in the compartment. First, fit one side into place, then press firmly to secure the cover completely.

Step 6. Turn on the machine and run Self Test / Calibration.
Power on the machine and run the self-test / calibration procedure. If no errors appear, the replacement was successful!
Your X-Axis Adapter Board has now been successfully replaced. If you experience any issues, double-check all connections and ensure the board is securely fastened.
