Creality Hi Touch Screen Replacement

- Step 1. Unscrew the Bottom Panel off the Machine.

Introduction
This guide will walk you through the process of replacing the Touch Screen Assembly on the Creality Hi.
Important Notes
- Fragile Cables: The cables connected to the Screen Assembly are delicate. The Touch Screen flat cable is particularly fragile and can be easily damaged, as well as the Wi-Fi antenna cable. Handle these components with care.
Tools needed
2mm Hex Driver or Hex Key
Spudger (for easier connector removal)

Step 1. Unscrew the Bottom Panel off the Machine.
Using your 2mm Hex Driver, unscrew the nine screws securing the bottom panel to the chassis. Carefully remove the panel and set it aside.

Step 2. Disconnect the Screen Cable from the Mainboard.
To disconnect the Touch Screen cable, gently push the latch upwards to unlock it. You can use your fingernail or a spudger for this step. Avoid applying excessive force, as this could damage the connector.

Step 3. Flip the machine to a standing position and remove the screw securing the screen to its mount.
Position the machine in a standing position. Use your 2mm Hex Driver to remove the screw that secures the screen to its mount.

Step 4. Replace the Screen
Carefully remove the old screen. Take the replacement screen, guide the flat cable through the designated cable channel, and position it correctly. Once aligned, secure the screen to the mount by fastening it with the same screw.

Step 5. Connect the Touch Screen Cable.
Insert the flat cable into its connector and gently push the latch down to secure it. Do not apply too much force, as this may damage the connector or the latch.

Step 6. Secure the Bottom Panel to Chassis
Reattach the bottom panel by aligning it with the chassis. Use your 2mm Hex Driver to fasten the nine screws, ensuring they are properly tightened.

Step 7. Check functionality off the Screen
Power on the machine and verify that the screen lights up and responds to touch inputs.
If the screen does not function correctly, double-check all connections to ensure the cables are properly seated. If needed, try reseating the Touch Screen cable before testing again.
If everything is working as expected, the installation is complete.
