Introduction:

Here is a wiki guide from Creality covering troubleshooting on both K1 and K1 Max:

But if still are not able to resolve the issue, follow this guide.

Selecting lead screw rod to adjust

Print a large print as shown from creality's wiki to find deviations:

And check the leveling chart (you find this by entering the machines IP adress in your browser after you have done a full calibration). You find the IP in the machine's Wi-Fi menu under the connected network.

In this example graph we see the Z value rises closer to (x:0, y:0) and lowers at (x:300, y:300). This means a good start for this example would be to lower the right lead screw.

Another tip is to count the number of threads between the top and the nut the bed is attached to to. If they are not all the same the bed mount should be noticably skewed. Remember the bed's bracket and the surface can be misaligned too.

Adjust Bed by Z-belt

Step 1: Unscrew bottom panel to access z-belt and mechanisms

Lay the machine on it's side, preferably laying flat on the left or right panel and ontop of padding such as foam from the packaging. Unscrew the four feet screws and two black screws to remove the panel:

Step 2: Disconnect mainboard from connector

The panel should now be loose, but with a fan cable connected to the machine. Carefully remove this fan cable from it's connecter and then completely remove the panel.

Step 3: Loosen z-belt tensioner

Loosen these screws on the z-belt tensioner.

Step 4: Reduce z-belt tension to allow for adjustment

Now carefully push the belt tensioner towards the direction of the spring to loosen the z-belt. Doing it by hand or with a tool can work (see images below). This will require strength, it is easier to have a second person for this step especially when trying to screw the screws back in so the tensioner stays in position.

Step 5: Make adjustment to z-belt

After this the belt should be slack enough to move each lead screw, otherwise you may need to disconnect the belt. A tip is to use a thin allen key and wedge it between a rod's cog/gear and the belt and rotating it through so the belt skips a tooth, this is good for fine tuning. (images coming soon)

Once you feel happy with the adjustment, simply unscrew the tensioner screws and then rescrew back when the belt is tensioned well. Rather than auto-leveling, leave the bed up and check distance with the printhead over every corner and adjust accordingly (auto leveling takes a long time, leave for later).

Now do the steps in reverse to finish the repair and get the machine running. The spring on the belt tensioner should be giving enough tension to the belt, you just need to screw it back in place again.
